Award Winning German Showroom Design
The German Showroom approached our class to come up with new and innovative ways to display their products. The products are mainly household products ranging from solar panels to bathroom tiles. These products however are ever-changing as new products which enter the market replaces other products on the floor.
The challenge was to create display stands/units which would be suitable to house any type of product of varying sizes.
My solution was to create a generic modular unit which is combined to offer various layouts according to the type of products to be displayed. Seeing that the products are mainly household products I wanted prospective clients to experience these products in a "homely environment." Thus these modular units were combined to create a semi-closed space; and to create the idea of moving from one space into another.
My design won the 1st prize for the most innovative design.

Reminds me of Dieter Rams' designs. Very Slick.
